Document Delivery FAQs for Law Faculty
Can I still send my request to FACSERV?

Yes. Requests sent to FACSERV will be forwarded to our Document Delivery students for processing.

Will you still send my documents as email attachments or via Dropbox links?

No. When your document is ready, you will receive an email containing a link to the ILL website where you can retrieve your document under "Electronically Received Articles."

How long will my documents be available via the ILL website?

365 days (1 year)

Will you print articles for me?

No. Our default is to deliver articles to you electronically.

How long will it take to fill my request?

We are staffed for Document Delivery on Monday - Friday from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. While we aim for quick turnover, our standard delivery time is between 1 - 3 business days.

How will I know you are working on my request?

You will receive an email letting you know that we have received your request and another email when your request is filled. If we run into difficulty locating the material, you will receive an update from us.

Can I input my own request, rather than sending it to FACSERV?

Yes, for faster service you may input your own document request. Simply log into the ILL website and enter your request into the online form.

Under the "New Request" section of the ILL website, select "Photocopy/Article" or "Book Loan" depending on the type of material needed. Fill out as much information as possible (the fields with red asterisks are required) and click "Submit Request."

Why the change?

Our ILL website retains copies of all of your requests in one place for one full year, making it easy for your to track the status of your requests and keep track of the articles we send to you. Even better, you can access the ILL website from anywhere, making it easier to use your documents when you are away from the office.
